The Development Review Committee (DRC) reviews and approves proposed development on lots within Durfee Creek Estates. Approval MUST be granted before starting any part of the construction phase
including excavation, grading, and connection to the wastewater disposal system.
The review and approval process applies to new home construction AND existing home additions/renovations including:
- new construction of any structure
- additions to existing homes
- exterior renovations of existing homes, garages and outbuildings including changes to the colors and materials (incl. roofing, siding, decks, fencing)
- initial landscapes and the addition of irrigated landscaping (new plantings must comply with state and DCA water-wise requirements)
- proposed changes to originally approved plans and materials once construction is underway
- approved development projects that have not begun construction within 2 years of approval must be resubmitted

| EXTERNAL LIGHTING & DARK SKY INFO |
The Development Review Committee would like to remind residents of the following Guidelines on External Lighting.
In order to maintain a rural character and views to the night sky Exterior Lighting:
- Should be minimized
- Not result in excessive glare visible from the street or adjacent Lots
- Of low level & subdued intensity
- Source of light should be fully shielded and directed downward
- Security lighting should conform with these requirements and be connected to a timed motion detector
